Eco Credentials Reducing single-use plastics By the end of 2021, Barbour eliminated 158,000 single-use transit hangers and 3 million plastic seals used on their swing ticket cords were replaced with organic cotton ties. Packaging Barbour has replaced their plastic carrier bags with paper ones that can be fully recycled. Re-usable cartons have reduced the amount of cardboard used by 85 tonnes per year. ISO14001 Barbour attained ISO14001, the international standard specifying requirements for environmental management system accreditation, in 2019. Sedex Barbour is a full member of SEDEX which is a not-for-profit organisation enabling access to independent third-party audit reports on factories and suppliers. Better Cotton Initiative Barbour is proud to be a member of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI). 100% of their waxed cotton is sourced through BCI. Organic Yarn Barbour’s certified organic cotton and wool yarns are kinder to the environment because they are made without the use of pesticides and harmful chemicals 105
